Experienced, professional and understanding
Concentric Support is managed by Simon Kay BA (Hons).
I have been professionally working with vulnerable teenagers and young people for over 25 years. During that time I have been employed as a team leader in a care setting, a school based youth worker, a drug and alcohol worker, a Youth Offending Service officer, a teacher, a care manager and much more.

I have learned that by adopting a person-centred approach and providing young people with a safe, dependable place to discuss their own thoughts, even the most challenging, and challenged, young people are capable of achieving great things.

I have enhanced DBS and PVG clearance. I have also completed Cumbria County Council Level 3 Safeguarding Training. I have completed PACE training to act as an Appropriate Adult for young people being interviewed by the Police. I am registered with the National Youth Agency of England and the Community Learning and Development Standards Council for Scotland. I am an approved service provider for Cumbria County Council and I carry full professional indemnity insurance. I have also had the double Covid 19 Vaccinations and booster.

A lot of my work involves transporting children and young people. I have a large estate car which is fitted for Isofix seatbelts. I have full business class motor insurance and my car is fitted with in-cab CCTV for the safety of everyone on board.
